Call for Submissions:
Vintage Love Stories
Vintage Love Stories...
We want your bold, fierce, poetic, beautiful, heart-wrenching, sensual, love stories.
We're putting together a collection of short stories with the common theme of love, set in a time period before cell phones and social media.
These are vintage tales.
Maybe it’s a story set in the 1950s in New York, in the 1800s in Italy, in 1982 in anywhere USA. We want stories that tell of any kind of love. Old, young, new, renewed, LGBTQ, diverse, surprising, awkward, whatever. Any genre. Just make us feel the feels.
Each winning story will receive $100.00 and inclusion in an anthology which will be published in ebook, paperpack, and audiobook.
Stories should be double-spaced and original. Word length up to 10,000 words.
We will accept entries on a rolling basis and will close submissions when six or so stories have been chosen…or by May 1st. Whichever is soonest.
So make us swoon, make us laugh, cause tears or sighs or even moans. The world needs more love, and we want to share it.
Email your double-spaced, original short fiction to firstname.lastname@example.org by May 1st or earlier. No submission fee is required. Short fiction can be any genre or time period (prior to cell phones and social media), but love must be a central to the piece. Winners will receive $100.00 and publication in ebook/paperback/audiobook in an anthology published by Blunder Woman Productions. This is a flat rate award allowing Blunder Woman Productions to publish the piece in an anthology. No further payment will be provided. (Rights revert to authors after inclusion in the anthology and they may re-publish as they see fit.) This is open to new and established writers.
